Ladies and Gentlemen of Parliament,
I hereby propose the following amendments to the 2007 Constitution of the Kingdom.
Add to Article 1, Section 2:
-(g) The Reigning Monarch will have the power to suspend the elected Government should the activity of the nation drop below operable levels or if the nation is under a severe crisis.
Remove from Article II, Section 1-C
(v) Jusitice
Remove from Article II, Section 1-D
(v) Vice Minister of State for Justice
Article III to be renamed as “Royal Senate, and Article III, Section 1-A be changed to:
(a) The Royal Senate of Luthoria will be the legislative body of the United Kingdom of Luthoria
Furthermore, the words “Grand Parliament of Luthoria” be replaced throughout the Consitution with the words “Royal Senate of Luthoria”.
Article III, Section 1-B will be rewritten as:
(b) The Royal Senate will consist of 4 delegates and will be headed by the Minister of State, who will act as a tie-breaker
Article III, Section 2 will be rewritten as:
(a) As stated above, there will be 4 delegates in parliament, one for each of the following legislative regions:
(i). 1st Legislative District, which will consist of New Hawaii, RD Ali’i Kaona, and the Micran Colonies
(ii). 2nd Legislative District, which will consist of Emeraldia and the Royal Colony of St. Patrick
(iii) 3rd Legislative District, which will consist of Germania and the Royal Colony of New Brandenburg
(iv) 4th Legislative District, which will consist of Luthoria, Sequoyah, and Oklahoma
(b) Elections for these delegates will occur 1 week prior to the opening of each session of the Royal Senate
(c) TO be eligible for office, a person must have been a citizen for at least 1 month, and officially reside in the Province he or she wishes to represent.
Add the following to Article VIII, Section 1-a
(iv) Cherokee
(v) Turn of the Century Western USA
Add the following to Article VIII, Section 1-b
(v) Cherokee
Rewrite Article IX, Section 1 to read as follow:
(a) There will be 6 provinces, 1 Royal District, and 3 Royal Colonies that make up the United Kingdom of Luthoria. They are:
(i) Province of New Hawaii
(ii) Province of Emeraldia
(iii) Province of Germania
(iv) Province of Luthoria
(v) Province of Oklahoma
(vi) Province of Sequoyah
(vii)Royal District of Ali’i Kaona (the Capital)
(viii) Royal Colony of St. Patrick
(ix) Royal Colony of New Brandenburg
(x) Royal Colony of Waikiki
Add the following to Article IX, Section 2:
( e) All colonies on Aura will be under the authority of the Royal Colonial Authority of Luthoria
(f) All colonies on Micras will be under the authority of the Royal Micran Colonial Authority
(g) Both Colonial Authorities will be headed by a Governor General of the Colonies, one for the RCA, and one for the RMCA.
