UPDATE
The LSS Germania has arrived at the spot of the reported disturbances, and has confirmed that there is something in the area. According to the reports, the disturbance is barely visible during the day, but at night the area, which is reported as a 'sheet' protruding out of the sea, has a slight glow.
The Captian of the ship is planning on dispatching men in row boats to investigate further.

UPDATEThe above is a map of the approximate location of the 'portal' Crews from the LSS Germania have gone through the 'portal', and have confirmed that it does appear to lead to some 'other world'. As of yet, there are no confirmed theories, but many of the crew believe that this 'other world' may in fact be the world known as Micras. The LCS Aedan Clark, the Interior Office's exploration vessel, has been dispatched with 100 scientists plus crew to investigate further. At this point, members of the government are considering our options, including the possibility of trying to establish settlements on the other side of the 'portal'. The Royal Navy will keep all citizens informed of these developments.

Attention to all,
The Royal Navy would like to report that the LCS Aedan Clark and it's crew have confirmed that the world on the other side of the 'portal', which has been dubbed the 'boru gate' in honor of ancient Emeraldian legends, is indeed Micras.
The exact size and, more importantly, the cause of the gate have yet to be determined, but the scientists on the scene are working around the clock to try and find the answers to these questions.
The government is still considering colonization efforts. Our main concearn at this point is the stability of the gate. We do not want to begin establishing a settlement only to have the gate collapse.
We will keep you informed of the status of this mission.

As soon as the King gave his speech on Saturday night, the LCS Aedan Clark set sail immediately for Ali'i Kaona, and arrived late last night. She is now being loaded with supplies for her journey to Micras. She will be carrying with her 600 colonists, plust 100 scientists. In addition to the Aedan Clark, the LSS Emeraldia and the LCS Goliath will be making this journey. There will be three hundred Naval Marines aboard the Emeraldia, and the Goliath will be carrying enough supplies to get a settlement established on Micras, and enough feul for it to return back to Luthoria to get more feul for the other two ships plus extra supplies for the colonists. The Micras Fleet, as it has been dubed, will set sail Wednesday morning at 8 am.
