To Whom it May Concern:
We have a bit of distressing news. The bank if open and working.
However the hosting company just communicated to me that they are under an internet attack, a hacker. None of the data has been taken, and none of the servers have been penetrated, but they are taking up all of the connections to slow the server and make it shut down.
Here is the easiest way to explain it. Think of a piece of pie. As a whole you have 100%, but each slice takes more and more away from the whole until it is gone. Each connection, most of them fake and useless, takes another slice of the servers working ability, so right now it is working over time but nothing is getting done, and when we try to get into the bank, we are just taking more and more away.
An additional hardware firewall, think of it like a coffee filter, has been added to defend the server. It is currently "learning" and discarding all of the bad connections to make room for the good. It may take as much as two days before it can effectively repel them all. We need to be patient and pray for the company, we do not want to lose the information and we do not want the hacker to win.
I will update more as the details come in.

is there any way that you could get the information and store it off line before (God forbid) there servers go down?

At this time it is no longer necesary. The additional firewall has terminated all attacks, and there is no longer an issue.
I will make a backup of the database, and e-mail it to myself. I have a copy of the origional installation files stored in the archives of my e-mail.
Things are looking up from here!
