This is the modern history of Emeraldia, from Novemer 6, 2006 to July 5, 2007, as assembled by former Emeraldian Historical Society Director Eilis Maloney. This was assembled from the little offline data that was stored, along with online data from the New Dublin Post

Modern History of Emeraldia
November-July
November 6, 2006--------Aaron O’Wray founds Emeraldia
November 27, 2006-------The first Constitutional Convention adopts the O’Wray Constitution in a 6-1 vote.
November 27, 2006-------Nathaniel Trimbel becomes the Emeraldian to fly in a small aircraft he designed with the help of Liam Reagan.
November 26, 2006-------National bank opens
November 29, 2006-------Rodhlann Pierce is appointed Chief Justice of Emeraldian Court
November 30, 2006-------Eilis Maloney is appointed interim Vice President
December 4, 2006---------Emeraldia’s first independent company, O’Wray Shipbuilding, opens.
December 4, 2006---------Department signs are changed from English to Gaelic
December 6, 2006---------Emeraldia gains land on the virtual World of Geiss
December 9, 2006---------Nominations for Seanad seats open
December 18, 2006-------Elections not held open for all voters
December 19, 2006-------O’Wray files suit against EC, reelections are called for
January 9, 2007------------Aaron O’Wray is sworn in as the official first president of the IRE. The Seanad was made up of Nathianel Trimbel, Owen Blake, and Eilis Maloney.
January 10, 2007----------Trimbel resigns, and Peirce takes his place until further notice. Trimbel’s departments were put under the control of the Department of the Interior
January 11, 2007----------FORUMER site closed, PROBOARDS site opened.
February (dates unsure)--Seanad discusses keeping Christianity as the national religion and keeping Gaelic as a national language. Seanad approves the National Forum Code Act
February 18, 2007--------Sec. of Defense Liam Reagan takes control of the military and threatens the government. Eilis Maloney is installed new Sec. of Defense, and orders the ESS King of Ireland and the ESS King Boru to patrol waters around the capital. The ESP issues an arrest warrant for Reagan.
February 26, 2007--------Liam Reagan hijacks the national forums. He is charged with Treason and Acts of Terrorism, but was pardoned because neither of those are against the law.
February 28, 2007--------Constitutional convention is called to begin to adjust the constitution.
April 6, 2007--------------State of the Republic Address is given by the President
May 2, 2007---------------Liam Reagan once again hijacks the Emeraldian forums.
May 10, 2007-------------Liam Reagan deletes the forums. INVISIONFREE Forums become the new national forum. Reagan’s citizenship is revoked, and he’s charged with treason and terrorism. Quite a bit of data was lost, including modern history and bank data. Vice President Pierce’s involvement is unknown.
June 2007(dates unsure)-Peirce is reinstated, activity slows.
June 12, 2007------------The INVISIONFREE Forum is deleted, but no attempt to recover the country was made. All still involved in Emeraldia were too heartsick to try again.
June 6, 2007--------------New Hawai’i is created by Mo’i Kakali.
July 5, 2007--------------The Irish Republic of Emeraldia officially dissolves.
July 8, 2007--------------All Emeraldian assets were handed over to New Hawai’i. Special citizenship grants are given to former Emeraldians from New Hawai’i.
