This letter was received by the Institute from former President Aaron O'Wray to be published in this museum.
To the kind people of New Hawai'i,
Thank you first off for the hospitality and kindness you have shown the Emeraldian people by allowing them to have a new home here in New Hawai'i. I hope that this nation will grow and prosper in the years to come.
I would also like to thank the government of New Hawai'i for creating this wonderful museum and memorial in honor of Emeraldia. Emeraldia had many hopes and dreams, as a new country, and I often believed that it was ultimately destined for greatness in the micro-world. However, I was wrong. Because Emeraldia's people were unable to solve some disputes that started over almost unimportant things, discontent and anger festered, and words were said that should not have been said, and, ultimately, Emeraldia was torn apart.
It is my hope that this museum will serve as a reminder to the world as to what can happen if people do not try and solve there disputes. I hope that the world is able to learn from Emeraldia and be better for it.
I would also like to say to all the guests that will come here, please don't dwell on the negative when you visit. Yes, many negative things occured in Emeraldia, but that is not what Emeraldians want there nation to be remembered as. Think on the good things.
I hope that all of you will enjoy this museum and enjoy learning about the culture and people of Emeraldia.
