Upcoming Merger with Ocia

Tomorrow, if all goes as planned, the United Kingdom of Luthoria will become a part of the Ocian Federation.

The Ocians, seeign our distress after the loss of Mr. Clark and our horrid slump in activity, offered to allow us to join the federation in lieu of disappearing all together.

The Royal Government has accepted their offer, and tomorrow, the newly elected President of Ocia will come here so that we can formally sign the treaty, making us part of the great Ocian Federation.

Sounds good, I do have a few questions after reading the treaty though,

1) Will we keep these boards or move to the Ocian forum?
2) How does this affect our military? Will it be completely dissolved, turned into a militia/home guard type organization, or will it be fully integrated into the Ocian Defence Forces?
3) A more me-related question. What will happen to my title 'Kronprinz'? Will I revert to being a commoner or will I still be of the same rank?

As former president of Ocia and a key negotiator for the merge I think I’d like to address this question.

As we discussed with the Luthorian leadership these forums will remain as achieves and Luthoria's forums will have its own section in the Ocian forums until King Kakali re-launches a new forum for Luthoira.

To address the matter of the national defence we decided to have a merged military. A unified army under a single command is far more efficient then two. All nobility titles will remain. With regards to your Army rank Ocia has over 15 brigades, each need Commanders and it appears you do have good knowledge on the subject so the ocian Defence Forces will be pleased to have you as either a Lieutenant General or even hold the position of Marshal of Ocia.

If you take a look at our Defence section of our forums you will see that our defence forces are highly organized and are equipped with some of the best equipment so we hope that Defence Personnel will be enthusiastic about the change.

On another note your king told us first hand about the competence of Luthoria's Military leadership. Ocia's Minister of Defence just switched positions so we will be happy to offer the position of Minister of Defence to a luthorian who wishes to hold the position. We will also be offering Luthorian Military Personal either the equivalent Military rank or higher rank in the ODF.

Lastly I would like to remind all Luthorians that on June 25 we are electing a new parliament and a new prime Minister, and your king is interested in forming a party in Ocia so if the party campaigns hard enough I am positive that we will have a Luthorian as Prime Minister a job which as equal if not more important in power as President of Ocia.

Also. to answer you answer about your status as Kronprinz, the Treaty of Ali'i Kaona states that we will be allowed to keep all of our Titles of Nobility.
