So, do you celebrate Halloween? If so, how? If not, why?
I want to pick everyone's thoughts on this holiday.

Pagan rituals= you no celebrate Christmas either. Just thought I'd point out that most of what the western world does to celebrate Christmas has pagan roots. I don't celebrate Halloween myself, mainly because my parents decided that our family wouldn't celebrate it when I was a young kid. Now, after thinking on my own about it, I probably wouldn't be so opposed to allowing my (future) kids from celebrating. Now, I would be against letting them up as "evil" type things, but as a super hero, or fairy, or angle, or princess, or something like that....how many times a year do kids get to dress up and get bags full of candy?

I don't celebrate Christmas, I celebrate the birth of Christ.

Well our family firmly believes in the necessity of as much candy, as much as possible so if you think we are going to allow old people's superstitions to hold us back, think again. Besides, we are not to be afraid of the enemy or "His Holiday." We have power through Christ and just because you have some crazy nutballs out there who like the idea of looking like a troll doesn't make the holiday bad. It all depends on the intention of the heart in my opinion. I would like someone to try and tell my little sister that we can just buy bags of candy instead, then you will see a devil!!!

I don't celebrate because I don't see the meaning behind it.

There really is no meaning behind it. The only thing I get from it is candy and a huge dentist bill a month later. LOL!!!

I think that this thread should be archived so we can clear up room on the forum. I don't like the idea of leaving old posts. It looks like we are inactive and I would like to try and increase our total population.
Thank You and Humbly,
