I love how our candidates slide their way out of making promises they know they will never keep. Nice move, I am not sure I would want any of you as our leaders if you cannot even find the time to say a few words. How then will you find the time to run the country?

Sorry for my absence here lately. I have been extremely busy with macronational affairs. Since I am not feeling well today and I am sitting at home then I can make my speech. If elected as the first Minister of State, then I would enforce the new Constitution vigorously. It is essential as a young nation to start off right. I will be burying the metaphorical ‘hatchet’ with several other members so that we can move on and make Luthoria the greatest micronation ever. Having served in almost every capacity within the government, I know that I will be able to deal with the responsibilities and the problems of national affairs. Serving as Chief Justice, Minister of Defense, CO-Secretary of the Treasury, Assistant Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Seanadoir, Director of the Emeraldian Security Protectorate, as well as many other occupations, I believe I have the necessary capabilities to effectively run this government. If elected I will be appointing people to positions based on their capabilities and on how effectively they will work within my government. I have outlined who I would like to serve in the government below:
Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs– Akoni Alexander Vice-Minister of Defense – Z (unless this person becomes active soon, I will appoint someone else) Vice-Minister of Interior Affairs – Elikapeka Vice-Minister of Justice –Kilikopela (I will serve as Acting Minister until I can find an appropriate candidate for this position) Vice-Minister of Finance – Aedan Clark Supreme Court – Dolph Bishop
If you have any questions about my positions then please contact me. I will be more than happy to answer any and all questions or concerns.

"Citizens, your Majesty, and Minister Alexander. I would like to extend my apologies, and those on behalf of all the nominees. I agree that we need to take action, and my lack of such, has spoken louder than I could ever hope too. If you can find forgiveness in your hearts, please accept my apology." To the Luthorian People:Over the months our nation has seen, we have celebrated, agreed, and argued with one another on a vast variety of subjects, all varied by circumstance. We have been together at times when war seemed endless, at times when peace seemed near, at times when peace seemed to have eluded us again. We have met in times of battle, both moral and electoral, and all these mean to me memories of life long unbreakable friendships, which I hold close to my heart.
This occasion calls for my first formal address to the Luthorian people since the formation of the new government just a few days ago, and still on going even today. In great part upon you - upon your intelligence, your integrity, your devotion to the ideals of freedom and justice themselves - depend the understanding and the knowledge with which our people must meet the facts of the twenty-first century. Without such understanding and knowledge our people would be incapable of promoting peace and justice; without them, we would be incapable of defending the freedom we are building here today.
I am happy to be here at this time before this audience because I must speak of that issue that resides in the hearts and minds of us all. That issue which most urgently challenges and summons the wisdom and the courage of our whole people. The prosperity of our people, not only now, but for the generations to come.
In this fall of 2007, with the new year upon us, we weigh one question in our minds, where do we go from here? Seeking with our hearts the path that we must now begin to forge, our people look to their leaders for guidance.
In the many months that have seen pass, sadly we have witnessed that hope can waver, grow dim, and almost die. The shadow of death, once darkly lengthened across our nation. The shining light, the very hope of free men and women remained stubborn and brave, sternly disciplined by experience. With this we have and will continue to prevail.
I come before you now, in an earnest, to take the mantle of the nations leadership and watch it grow. It would be in vain to list accomplishments that are of no consequence, for the future is where our hope lies now. Promises are made in haste, but collect the dusts of time in the end, shadowed by new ambition, lost in the tides of forgetfulness.
I ask, with a humble admiration, to lead this nation to a level of prosperity, we have longed for since it conception.
I ask now, like so few have done, that we gather the pieces of our past, and learn from them. We now walk a path that we have not tread before, one of unity and brotherhood.
I ask, not that you follow me, but that we may journey together.
"As brothers and sisters, we will go together, for apart we will surely fail."
Thank You for Your Time,[/b][/color]

Nice move, I am not sure I would want any of you as our leaders if you cannot even find the time to say a few words. How then will you find the time to run the country? I must say that you really need to understand that we all have real lives to take care of too. I know that this might be a foreign concept to you, but when you have a commitment to do something you follow through with that commitment you made. I had to go to Denver this week for a conference and I do NOT appreciate being insulted because I take care of my life in the real world.

I think all of the people of this nation would agree with that Mr. Bishop. (Everybody except Mr. Alexander)

I think that we need to let it go. What matters now is going forward. How can we expect to move forward if we drag every little thing through the mud?

I agree with Mr. Clark here. We have our MoS, let us move forward now into a bright future!

You can't truly make progress toward the future unless you take care of the problems of the past.

While that is true, you also can't move forward if you hold onto every detail of the past. At some point you have to scrap the small details, and look at the bigger picture.
Which is more important? Once you know, only then is progress possible.

Without the small details the big picture is just a dull, boring landscape that does no one any good.

See this is one of those time to know which is more important. Continue arguing or go and do something more productive.
I will do the latter. Goodbye.

Arguing? Who is arguing? I am just having a philosophical discussion with someone who knows what the word actually means. Unlike some time I have tried to do this.

I think we should end this now. I motion that the King locks this thread and archives it.

Mr. Bishop, I believe he means it is time to end this thread, as it has gotten completely off topic. I would agree, don't you?

Not really, but then I never much care if I get off topic. On the other hand I have no objection to this thread being closed.

I have no problem with getting off topic. I am trying to look out for newcomers. If they see what they might think is arguing then it would diminish their chances of joining. I am not trying to squash anyone rights but trying to protect the country's image.
Thank You and Humbly,

So if I am interpreting correctly, you expect everything to go along "peachy keen"? There are going to be arguments, disagreement, and fights, but hiding them is not the answer. We must make sure that we do it civilly and without going over board.
